Culinary Arts

Culinary Arts means "the art of cooking." Culinary Arts is much more than simply cooking to those involved in the industry. Those working on an education in Culinary Arts can become chefs at small establishments or large, fine-dining restaurants. If you are comfortable in the kitchen and enjoy the art of cooking, a career in Culinary Arts could be right for you.

  • Sanitation, refrigeration, and cooking techniques
  • Food preparation, presentation, and serving food in restaurants and other establishments
  • Catering, retail and marketing, dining room operation, catering, hospitality management

Labor Market Information

This program supports students’ college and career readiness. Students are college and career ready when they have the knowledge, skills, and academic preparation needed to enroll and succeed in college credit-bearing courses within an associate or bachelor degree program without the need for remediation. Students need these same attributes and levels of achievement to enter and succeed in post-secondary workforce education or to enter a career path offering a living wage and future advancement.
